Apps Room Broadcast Technical Cleaning

“Contamination has been the indirect cause of more IT downtime than all the fires, floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and disgruntled employees combined.” – Jon William Toigo, Disaster Recovery Planning, Third Edition.

IT Cleaning Ltd are able to offer Apparatuses room cleaning as part of its Broadcast Technical Cleaning service. We clean all different types of Apps. Rooms. Including CAR, LAR, MAR, etc. The specification for the cleaning of these types of rooms, is the same as we use for Data Centre cleaning, as Apps rooms are similar in design, in that they are controlled environments. The specification is the room is to be cleaned to ISO 146444-1 2015 Class 8 plus all accessible surfaces to be free from dust. This specification requires the control of airborne and settled particulate matter, which is tested and certificated after the clean. To ensure we control the airborne particulate within the room, we will deploy our 0.3µm (micron) air-scrubbers, these filter 2500m3 of air per hour to 0.3µm. This ensures any dust made airborne by the mechanics of cleaning, vacuuming, wiping etc, is controlled. The settled dust is cleaned by vacuuming with HEPA filtered vacuum cleaners and wiped with damp and tacky wiping systems. As said after the clean we will carry out an ISO 14644-3 validation survey, using our calibrated air particulate reader. From the data collected we create an ISO certificate and report. The testing for settled dust is the touch test, or as the military call it the white glove test. The certificate and report is valid for one year from the date of the test. This certificate is a useful document for internal and external audits. Also for showing contractors that you take cleaning in the Apps. Room very seriously. Example a BT engineers has to install new equipment in the room, you can show them the certificate and ask for the RAMS on how they intend to keep the room within specification. Some of our customers have the certificates in a frame on the wall of the Apps. Room.
