With this rise in power also come the need for increased or more efficient cooling . Rack weights are also increasing as the equipment housed become heavier and more packed. Most of the requirement like installing new busbars or upgraded air conditioning systems will cause particulate dust to be generated from the refurbishment activity. This dust is very small often down to 0.3 micron produced in large quantities and very mobile. The dust is also abrasive and damaging to IT equipment blocking airways and wearing moving parts like fans
